What is Traffic Survival School (TSS)?
Traffic Survival School is an 8-hour, in-person course required by the Arizona Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) for drivers who have committed certain violations. It is designed to improve driver behavior and reduce the risk of future offenses.
Who is required to attend Traffic Survival School?
You may be required to attend if you received any of the following from the Arizona MVD:
- Traffic Survival School Order
- Corrective Action Letter
- Proof of Assignment
- Court Order signed by a judge
Common reasons include:
- Accumulating 8 to 12 points on your license
- DUI or reckless driving offenses
- Red light or stop sign violations
- Underage driving violations
- Out-of-state violations that require Arizona TSS
How long is the TSS course?
The course is a full 8 hours, as mandated by the Arizona MVD. It is completed in one day.
What do I need to bring to class?
You must bring:
- A valid photo ID
- Your Corrective Action Letter, Traffic Survival School Order, or Proof of Assignment
Failure to bring the required documents may prevent you from attending class.

Can I reschedule if I cannot attend my scheduled class?
Yes. Please contact us at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule. Space is limited, so we recommend contacting us as early as possible.
Arizona Motor Vehicle Division
TSS is an 8 hour; one course class required by the Arizona Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) but not limited to the following
- Accumulation 8 to 12 points
- Under age violations
- Red light/stop sign conviction
- DUI
- Out of state tickets requiring TSS
- Court Order signed by Judge requiring TSS
- You received a Traffic Survival School Order
- You received a Corrective Action Letter
- You received a Proof of Assignment mandating you to attend an Arizona traffic survival school class.
